MARCHING!!!

Today, we learnt a couple of drills for the POP Ceremony. We also learnt MARCHING!!!Yayyy!!!πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

Though we only had little time to learn the new drills for POP, our Ma'ams managed to teach us everything we had to know. The first command was 'Ta'at sedia' which means that we have to clench our fist and place it on our chests, just like what we do when we say the pledge. However, we had to remember to tuck in our thumbs. Then if the command is said again, then we have to go back to 'sedia' position. The next drill we learnt was 'Sprat kekanan, kekanan pusing'. This meant that we have to turn 45 degrees to the right. This drill ws taught so that we could face the flag during POP.

Next, we had a practice session of POP. To be honest, it was tiring! Sharlene, Pavina, Mithuna and I had to sit out for some time. But after that we joined back our lovely squadmates( we felt bad for them😐😏) However if I had to sit out for the next activity, I would be stupid enough to do so.

The next activity was MARCHING!!! Ok, let me tell you the reason why we are excited. The reason is because our friends from the different UGs have already done marching and were busy boasting. But whatever I bet their CCA is not as cool as ours. No offence! Well, the main reason is that marching is like fun to perform as we get to move around unlike other drills where you have to stand still.

At first the Ma'ams did a demonstration of the drill. To be honest, it looked easy but it was literally very hard to take note of every minute thing as only if we perfect those things then only it will look like marching or else it will look like as if we are going for shopping. Then the Ma'ams asked if we wanted a slow demonstration. Obviously we said that we wanted one and they did it as well. I really wish not to talk about it.(Ok, to be honest, it was hilarious. Though we tried not to laugh, we just could not stop) However, we learnt that it was very rude to laugh at our Ma'ams as they were people who we are supposed to respect.😐

Then, we were separated into three groups. Then in our groups we performed the drills together, in two separate ranks and alone as well. Our Ma'ams were really helpful and pointed out our mistakes. One of the problems we encountered was 'psychmotor'. To be honest, I did not know what it meant. Then our squadmate Merlion(Meryl) told me what it was but I was still not convinced. Then, I checked out the Internet and it said that it was the relationship between cognitive functions and physical movements. Then, as usual, I felt so stupidπŸ˜₯

Then, we also had bonding after that. It is really sad our Ma'ams are POPing out. We are really happy that we managed to learn a number of things. We really hope we can remember whatever we learnt and apply them when we need to do so in future.
